The role of magnetic bar inductance:
1. It is mainly used for DC filtering in switching power supply: In the magnetic path of the magnetic rod inductor, a long air segment is required, the air magnetic resistance is very large, the energy is concentrated here, and the air magnetic circuit is not saturated.
2. Suppression of conducted interference signals: In theory, to suppress conducted interference signals, it is required that the larger the inductance of the magnetic bar inductance, the better, but for the magnetic bar inductance, the larger the inductance, the larger the distributed capacitance. The effects of the two will cancel each other out. At the beginning, the impedance of the magnetic rod inductance increases with the increase of the frequency, but when its impedance increases to the maximum value, the impedance decreases rapidly with the increase of the frequency. This is because of the effect of the parallel distributed capacitance . When the impedance increases to the maximum, it is where the distributed capacitance of the magnetic rod inductance and the equivalent inductance generate a parallel resonance. Magnetic bar inductance is mainly used to suppress low-frequency interference signals. Therefore, to suppress a wide-band interference signal, multiple inductors with different properties must be used at the same time to be more effective.
